Business Continuity Manager (Brussels-London)

 AfinIT is hiring for a major player a key contributor who will be in charge for Business Continuity in a critical environment. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your skills! 
Role purpose:
Ensure effective Business Continuity provisions are in place for the locations of Brussels and London. Occasionally support to other locations (Europe) may be required in collaboration with team members, in particular in case of business continuity incidents and user exercises.
Position within the organisation:
The role is embedded in our Customer Central BCM function and requires close collaboration with the other team members.
The implementation and testing of technical business continuity requirements has largely been delegated to IT.

Main responsibilities (for Brussels and London):
  1. Drafts and maintains annual action plans;
  2. Coordinates all necessary activities for delivering the annual action plan;
  3. Maintains business impact analyses, business continuity plans and associated contact list. Ensure its compliance with policies (norms & standards) in force;
  4. Work closely together with other members of the Central team to share knowledge, maintain data quality and support in incident management;
  5. Maintains test plans and procedures;
  6. Supports local management in managing Business Continuity incidents;
  7. Maintains relationships with (external) business continuity service providers as needed;
  8. Contributes to the implementation of BCM projects or handling other specific requests;
  9. Promotes and maintains BCM awareness in the organisation by means of exercises, training or other forms of communication;
  10. Reports status to manager on monthly basis.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Graduate or equivalent professional-level experience;
  • Proven and relevant experience in business continuity. Holding an ISO or CBCI certificate is a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of IT is required; interest for IT is expected
  • Good team player;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Flexible. Ability to work in possible stressful situations;
  • Excellent organisation and project skills. Efficient. Hands-on. Gets the job done;
  • The job is based in Brussels but requires travelling (mainly London and occasionally other locations in Europe);
  • Excellent command of English and French.
